What is IRCTC e-catering?

With IRCTC e-Catering you can book food which gets delivered on your seat or berth. You can also order pizza, burger, to your train seat. At present, the e-catering service is available at more than 350 Railway stations. This facility can be availed by passengers of all trains (including Rajdhani/Shatabdi etc) originating, stopping, terminating at any stations where services are available. Even the passengers with waitlisted ticket can book meal through e-catering on phone & SMS. However, the delivery will only be done when passenger's waitlisted ticket is confirmed at the time of chart preparation.

IRCTC to Enable Buy Now Pay Later Feature

IRCTC recently had provided "Pay on Delivery" payment option to its users and now soon it going to provide a new payment option "Buy now and Pay Later". While ticket booking soon user will be able to select this option to book a ticket but making payment later. It will make the railway ticket booking much faster because you don't have to go through the payment process. The new IRCTC feature is being enabled in partnership with ePaylater.

Tejas Express Fare | Booking started between Mumbai to Goa route

Tejas Express Fare To Cost 20% More Than Shatabdi. The Executive Class fare for Tejas Express service has been fixed at Rs. 2,540 without food and Rs. 2,940 with food. And, the Chair Car fare will be Rs. 1,850 with food and Rs. 1,220 without food. Whereas, the Shatabdi fares are Rs. 2,390 for the Executive Class and Rs. 1,185 for the Chair Car including food.

BHARATQR Code as Payment Option on IRCTC Website

BharatQR code payment method is expected to go live on the IRCTC website within a month. It is a major revolutionary step because of interoperability. There will be one common QR code platform whether the payment is through MasterCard, Visa or RuPay. This will result in making payment experience much simpler and easier for consumers.

IRCTC POD | Pay on delivery payment option

IRCTC has introduced pay on delivery a new facility on its the www.irctc.co.in website and the mobile app itself to facilitate the travelers who don't feel comfortable sharing their details online!

With the help of IRCTC POD facility, the customer can book train tickets online and pay at the time of delivery.  but, this facility is not available for tatkal tickets as this facility is available for passengers who are willing to book their tickets at least 5 days prior to their journey. So far about 600 cities across the nation have been covered where people can avail the benefit of the new initiative.

IRCTC is not able to bring people towards the Maharajas' Express, the Golden Chariot, Royal Rajasthan on wheels. These are the luxury trains in India. Therefore it has launched an offer in which passengers will get one ticket free on the purchase of one ticket in the Maharaja Express. The Maharajas’ Express is one of the highly regarded luxury trains that has won numerous travel awards.

MMTS Train Timings

MMTS train timings is maintained by South Central Railway. MMTS is an intra city train service in the city of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Multi Modal Transport System (MMTS) is a joint project of South central railway and Andhra Pradesh government. The MMTS trains are run and maintained by South Central Railway of Indian Railways. It is the most convenient and preferred way in compared to road transport. It is cheaper mode of transport in Twin cities. More than 1.5 Lakhs of passengers travels through MMTS trains. This project was launched in August 2003. The first phase was completed at a cost of Rs. 178 Crores. MMTS operates around 84 services and cover more than 40 stations.

IRCTC Tatkal Booking | Rly to launch separate new website

For IRCTC Tatkal booking, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has decided to launch a new website only for Tatkal timings. The decision has been taken to overcome the problem faced by IRCTC account users while making Tatkal reservation.

IRCTC Connect | Official Mobile Android App Launched

IRCTC Connect Android mobile app has been launched by IRCTC in Google Play. Few months back mobile app for windows mobile phone was launched and was available on Microsoft website. In the same way Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation has presented its mobile users on this Diwali with IRCTC Connect Android app.
